This is my day 2 of Betz White's Field study tote sew-along.

I am having a ball making this bag! Here's another look at my fabric choices...can you tell I'm a little aqua crazy at the moment?

Well in day 2 I'm up to making the internal pockets and internal zip. While this is a really fiddly part of the sewing, I'm always glad that I invested the time into it, as it makes the bag so much more useful. I tend to be one of those Mary Poppins carpet bag type ladies, who has parlour lamps and indoor plants in her bag, but can never actually find what I want, so pockets are always welcome! The internal pocket is designed as a tablet holder, which could end up making my bag super expensive, as that is a gadget I do not currently own personally. It's fastened with a piece of velcro, and will be handy for holding my diary if nothing else.

The zip was a bit of a challenge, but determination won the day. It's not quite perfect, but no one's going to be studying it that closely...

I have to admit I have not stopped here! It's been so much fun, I'm so in love with my aqua and navy colours...still waiting on my zip and remaining d-rings. Hopefully this week!
