I found a picture of two colour brioche stitch in my net travels a few months ago...and immediately loved it! It has been quite a challenge learning to do it, but the hard work has paid off. All of a sudden the penny dropped, and it wasn't hard anymore, but that was after about five restarts. All that wrestling just makes me dig my heels in and more determined than ever to master it.If you're not familiar with brioche stitch, it's a bit like a fisherman's rib, a double knit fabric that's very thick. This version uses two colours, and you knit one row of each colour. In the round there's just two rows to repeat, so once you get it going, it's easy.

So the front has this kind of peek-a-boo with the coloured yarn through the white, a great reason to get some of the lovely colour changing yarns.

The reverse side is the opposite, giving it lots of interest, and making it versatile to wear.

I'll give you an update when it's finished, and post the pattern, though there's plenty out there on the net if you want to give it a try.
