I've recently had the best fun creating with the latest Tilda Collection called 'Birdpond'.
This collection has the prettiest bright tones, with a real retro vibe.
There are also more coordinating basics in the dots that match perfectly.
I've pulled out the purple/navy and orange tones and designed a pair of Retro Potholders that are fun and stylish, and very practical.
This is a fabulous take on an everyday household item!

The front of the potholder is an on-point patchwork, and the back is plain.
The the inside is lined with both batting and Insul-Bright, making it extremely heat resistant and sturdy.
The plain straight line quilting design gives just a touch of modern, and the bold Tilda prints are just perfect for showing off.
This pattern does call for bias binding, which if you've never sewn with this before, let me assure you that it's nothing to be scared of.
You can purchase some pre-cut bias binding, or make your own to match. It's only a small amount that you need, so it's not daunting at all.
