Since I last posted on my blog the world has turned upside down.
It really is astonishing to be living in this period of history, as it feels like an accumulation of unprecedented events have just turned up everything as we know it.
My strong faith has been sustaining me through this time, and even given me peace. I know that the One whom I trust in is so much bigger than what I can see with my eyes.
I do have some bright and cheerful finishes to show you. Covid-19 has made me both productive and apathetic at the same time. Some things are getting finished like nothing else is happening, and some things are stalling.
This month I've made the Abacus mini quilt from Alyce's book Mini Masterpieces. This continued the 'snowball' theme that I began last year during the book tour.
This mini is completely different to that project, and I just love how it's turned out.
I've used lots of Liberty, and some favourite stash for this.
I've also finished that Billilla block I was working on last month, and it's a firm favourite with all it's pretty pinks.
It certainly will never be lost in a crowd!
And this week, I finally managed to collect my thoughts enough to start this Pyegreave block.
There's some beautiful dusky blue Lodden being fussy cut for the centre, one of my absolute favourite ways to do the centre.
This month's Society is a wonderful mix of yellows and blues, kind of echoing the state of the world at the moment.
A weird mix of bad news and hope.
But any of these stunning Liberties are sure to put a smile on your face again, so we hope you enjoy!
